PORTLAND RIVERSIDE MARINA'S 8TH ANNUAL CONNECTICUT RIVER CATFISH TOURNAMENT
 

The 34th annual Raft Race

from Gildersleeve Island to Portland Riverside Marina, scheduled for July 26, 2008, was called off because of heavy rain and severe flooding.

Despite the weather, participants enjoyed Friday's grilling contest and camping out at Portland Riverside Marina.

 

The 33rd annual Raft Race

was held August 4, 2007 @ 10:00
Start: Gildersleeve Island
Finish: Portland Riverside Marina

 The Connecticut River Raft Race Inc. is a nonprofit organization and donates a portion of the race proceeds to various Connecticut children's charities.

The Connecticut River Raft Race is the oldest and largest self-supporting, charitable raft race in the United States.
